Gazelle is a test bed platform used for the validation and testing of interoperability and the conformity of health-care systems based on healthcare specifications and use cases. During this tutorial an overview of the platform, its architecture, and the different components used for interoperability testing and conformity checking will be presented. Management of testing sessions like Connectathons and Projectathons, using Gazelle platform will also be described.
As software Engineer I have participated on the development and the maintenance of the project Gazelle, an eHealth interoperability testing platform, under the IHE-Europe development team, since 2009. The project Gazelle is a suite of tools with a core test-bed and multiple simulators and validation tools for IHE profiles. During these years I have participated in the development of multiple tools around HL7, CDA, XD* profiles, and the standards used by the IHE community. I participated also in the preparation and organization of multiple Connectathons in Europe and USA, and many European Projectathons. Another activity I am involved in is the support to many eHealth regional and national projects in Europe and beyond.
